On 15th October 2025, The Birdies Golf Shop officially opened its doors in Wiltshire and the ladies who attended the launch couldn’t be more excited! As are we!
For years, women golfers have told us the same thing: online shopping is convenient but it’s no substitute for being able to try things on, feel the fabrics and see how pieces really fit. We listened. The Birdies Golf Shop is our answer to this issue, a women’s-only space dedicated to style, sport and connection.
As co-founder Liz Harwood says:
“Birdies is about more than clothing, it’s about creating a supportive community for women who love sport and are looking for a company to provide them with good quality and unique active wear.”
A Women’s-Only Golf and Lifestyle Store
Step inside and you’ll find more than just racks of clothing. The Birdies Golf Shop has been carefully curated with brands that women golfers already love and others they may be discovering for the first time. It’s a space where you can explore, experiment and find outfits that make you feel confident both on and off the course.

- Nailed Golf – A US luxury brand known for its glove's shoes and accessories. Attention to detail, quality and fit are at the heart of their designs, giving golf essentials a feminine twist.
- Amy Sport – Designed especially for women 5’7” and under, Amy Sport fills a gap in the market with flattering, high-performance golf and activewear. Premium quality, thoughtful design and inclusive sizing make it a standout.
- Swing Out Sister – A UK favourite with a reputation for bright prints, flattering fits and a wide size range. Their golf clothing is as practical as it is vibrant, designed for women of all ages and body types.
- FAMARA – Our own luxury label, inspired by art and known for bold prints, flattering silhouettes and high-quality fabrics. Each collection is designed for freedom of movement on the course and to be styled beyond it.
- Luna UK – Since 2011, Luna has been delivering fashion and lifestyle accessories that bring a stylish finishing touch to any outfit.
- Suitably Sporty – A varied collection of sportswear that’s comfortable, versatile and stylish. Perfect as an all-day wardrobe for women who want to feel good while doing the activities they love.
A Grand Opening to Remember
We celebrated our launch with a two-day opening event on 15th and 16th October, welcoming women to be among the first to experience the shop. It was a chance to explore the collections, meet the team and see first-hand what makes The Birdies Golf Shop different.
The response was everything we hoped for, women saying how refreshing it felt to finally have a dedicated space that celebrates their love of golf, style and community. “This is just what we need” was echoed on the lips of almost every shopper during the event.

Make a Day of It
The Birdies Golf Shop isn’t just a place to shop, it’s a destination. Situated just 10–15 minutes from Marlborough, a charming market town with the UK’s second widest high street, it’s the perfect spot for a day out. Enjoy a stroll through Marlborough’s array of independent boutiques, trinket shops and eateries, or make a detour to Woodborough Garden Centre, just 10 minutes away, if that’s more your style.
If you love the outdoors, there are also beautiful walks nearby, including routes up to the Alton Barnes White Horse – one of Wiltshire’s most iconic chalk figures, carved into the hillside overlooking the Pewsey Vale. If you’re staying closer to Pewsey, there are plenty of cosy cafés to enjoy, including Borg’s Hideaway, The Garden Kitchen Pewsey and the welcoming Kokoon Coffee Shop. Whether you’re shopping, exploring or simply relaxing with a good cup of coffee, there’s something for everyone in the area.
